Method for Disclosure of Important Business and Financial Information Relating to Credit Cards and Cash Cards

Subject: Method for Disclosure of Important Business and Financial Information Relating to Credit Cards and Cash Cards. Please be advised and comply with the matters set out in the "Statement."
Statement:
1. According to Ministry of Finance letters ref. Tai-Tsai-Rong-(IV)-0934000434 dated 1 June 2004 and ref. Tai-Tsai-Rong-(IV)-0930009656 dated 1 June 2004, each card issuing institution shall file reports of important business and financial information relating to credit cards and cash cards on a regular monthly basis, and disclose the information on its website.
2. The above provisions have been implemented smoothly; however, the disclosure methods adopted by some institutions are relatively less user friendly. Therefore, card issuing institutions, beginning from their reports of important credit card and cash card business and financial data at the end of November of this year (2004), shall be required to disclose such information on their websites by providing a hyperlink to their home pages and presenting it in tabular form, to facilitate reference by consumers.
