Subject : Credit card issuers may outsource collection of credit card payments by cardholders to convenience stores. Such shall be done in strict accordance with the explanation, below. Please take note and forward to credit card issuers.
Explanation:
1. Credit card issuers may outsource collection of credit card payments by cardholders to convenience stores. Such shall be done in accordance with the "Rules for Outsourcing of Financial Service of Financial Institutions ". Credit card issuers should develop a security and control plan with the convenience stores, and convenience stores may accept payments on a single invoices only up to Twenty Thousand New Taiwan Dollars (NT$20,000).
2. In order to prevent the disclosure of customer information, the data generated from a credit card issuer outsourcing credit card payments by cardholders to convenience stores may not indicate the customer's entire identification card number or credit card number. Credit card issuers shall ensure that the outsourcing service provider and its employees are not able to obtain or discover from payment data, the customer's identification card numbers, credit card numbers, or other related data.
